ITW Kenya: Progress at Emarti Health Centre

The ITW ultrasound program was recently implemented at Emarti Health Centre, a government facility in the Maasai Mara that serves thousands of women for antenatal care and deliveries. Wilter Chepkemoi (left) is the local ITW ultrasound trainer and mentor. Bernard Kaborok (center) is the Clinical Officer and Jackson Koskei (right) is the Nursing Officer in Charge. They are among three practitioners trained at this facility to do basic obstetrical scanning. They underwent their residential training in May at the nearby Mara Training Centre, and then did their Phase 2 Field Mentorship training for the past 6 months under the supervision of Wilter and the other ITW Africa mentors. Now they will begin Phase 3 of the ITW training, Remote Supervision, via the unique ITW teleradiology program that uses our Obstetric Sweeps Protocol (OSP).
