Sister Mary Angela Njeri
Mentor – Imaging The World Africa, Uganda
Sister Mary Angela Njeri is a Catholic nun from the Congregation of Daughters of Mary Bwanda (Uganda). She completed training as a midwife at Kamuli Mission Hospital training School in 2001, after which she worked for two years at Kitovu Hospital in Masaka District. She continued her education at the Lubaga School of Nursing and Midwifery graduating in 2005 as a registered Midwife. She latter was posted to a health facility in Western Kenya as an In-charge for 4 years. In 2010 she was appointed to work at Nawanyago Health Centre III as the In-charge, where she became involved on ITW's first pilot research project. She obtained an Ordinary Diploma in Ultrasound from Ernest Cook Ultrasound Research and Educational Institute (ECUREI) in 2011 and has since been proactive on all our Ultrasound projects. She is currently enrolled for a Bachelor’s degree in Medical Imaging at the same institute.
