Imaging the World (ITW) participated as first time exhibitor at this year’s meeting of the ‘Radiological Society of North America’ (RSNA). This is the largest Radiology professional event in the America’s with over 50,000 people attending each day, from health related professionals to guests and exhibitors.
Three ITW volunteers served our booth and got to meet people from all over the world! It was exciting to see the interest people showed about our organization. Many people felt refreshed that we were an NGO exhibitor. Many factors contributed to our booth success: We received paintings donated by one of our volunteers, radiology resident, Anuli Cherukuri. She painted beautiful african themed paintings that were so colorful and caught the eye of many people passing by our booth.
We also had American Apparell t-shirts with our ITW logo for sale and we distributed many boards of the Mckesson Social Bingo. We are so grateful to McKesson for this Social Bingo initiative. As people went by the exhibitor’s area they could stop by the Mckesson booth or one of their partners, to have ‘bingo stickers’ placed at their bingo boards. Per each Bingo board completed, with a minimum of a row, McKesson would donate $25 to Imaging the World. We were also blessed with an amazing location for our booth this year!
Overall, we had a large number of people stop by our booth to either give a donation and/or enroll as a volunteer. Also, many businesses expressed interested in helping our cause as well as other radiology programs overseas. It was a fun and successful first experience at RSNA. Congratulations to our team who made it all possible, and many thanks to all of our donors for their contributions! Best regards,
ITW Board Member
