ITW was founded through the hard work of many engaged, committed volunteers, and we welcome new volunteers. We are actively seeking volunteers for the following functions:
On-boarding committee
This brand new team will be comprised of volunteers, and will be responsible for creating a cutting edge platform for enrolling medical volunteers. This includes training and retaining volunteer medical professionals to “interpret” images for ITW.
Systems and processes include:
- Credentialing volunteer interpreters from around the world
- Training volunteer interpreters in ultrasound protocols (collaborate with training team to develop materials)
- Creating materials and processes for on-boarding ITW volunteer interpreters: orientation, introduction to ITW model/background/history, review of ITW policies and procedures, passwords, processes, etc.
- Formulating feedback process – collecting and incorporating feedback to inform systems refinement and volunteer retention
- Creating retention processes – Create communications tools and patterns for recognition of extraordinary service
As volunteer interpreters will come from a variety of subspecialties, this committee will be comprised of members with myriad expertise such as but not limited to: sonography, radiology, ob-gyn, emergency medicine, and cardiology. Separate cadres (or subcommittees) for each expertise will create specialty specific components. Other useful skill-sets for this team include: administrative credentialing, human resources, project management/coordination, website and communications.
Fundraising/Marketing
We are currently looking for volunteers for our fundraising/marketing team. People from all backgrounds are welcome, but especially useful skill-sets include: marketing, media, communications, grant application writing/review, persuasive writing, non-profit development, graphic design and film editing. Experience networking within philanthropic communities and/or philanthropic contacts appreciated.

We are looking for people to help refresh, and maintain our website, Facebook page, Twitter, and blogs.
