Software Developers Needed

We are looking for a few solid programmers to lead the development of next generation software we need for image compression and transmission from underdeveloped rural areas. The task is challenging because electrical power is limited, cellular signals are tenuous and intermittent, and land line based communications are almost non –existent.

We are looking for people with skills and some expertise in digital signal processing and data compression who are also experienced JAVA programmers. Also, familiarity with programming in both Windows 7 and Linux environments will be helpful along with a background in medical image transmission and the use of DICOM toolboxes.

Being a non-profit organization, we can’t pay much but you will be helping to bring modern imaging based medicine to large areas of the world for the very first time! This is also a great opportunity to build your resume and your work will be featured on our website along with other ITW activities. And of course, volunteer programmers are very welcome!

If you are interested, please send a resume and summary of your qualifications to info@imagingtheworld.org.
