ITW members met with the the Deputy Speaker of Parliament in Uganda, the Honorable Rebecca Kadaga. Ms. Kadaga was born in Kamuli District where ITW will be implementing three sites, and she generously expressed her support for the ITW’s efforts to work towards improving maternal health in Uganda.

Imaging the World (ITW) was founded in 2007 by two radiologists, Dr. Kristen DeStigter and Dr. Brian Garra. The co-founders of ITW, Dr. Brian Garra and Dr. Kristen DeStigter, collaborated on a white paper manuscript generated through the the Rad-Aid conference on November 2nd. This white paper was accepted for publication in The Journal of the American College of Radiology. Check back soon for the article.
In June 2010, ITW will implement three sites in rural Uganda. With local partner and government cooperation, these sites will help save thousands of lives.
